Southern Oregon University Preview Day
Southern Oregon University in Ashland is holding "Succeed @ Southern Preview Weekend" on January 18-19. This is your opportunity to meet with faculty in your major, tour the campus and residence halls, explore resources and facilities, learn about financial aid, and more. Elks National Foundation Scholarship
The Most Valuable Student Scholarship is offered to high school seniors each year by the Elks National Foundation. Awards run from $1,000 to $15,000 and are renewable for four years; there are multiple winners per level of award. Eligibility is based on scholarship, leadership, financial need, and U.S. citizenship. The application requires an essay and is due December 7th at the Eureka Elks Lodge. Lisa Perry Presentation for Juniors and Seniors
Juniors and Seniors:
Have you ever thought about having a career working outdoors? Do you like hunting and/or fishing? Are you interested in wildlife, animals, rocks, saving the environment, marine science and/or working with your hands? If so, plan to attend a presentation from Lisa Perry of HSU on Wednesday, Nov. 28th. She will be presenting lots of exciting information about careers in the outdoors.
Time/Place: Little Theatre during lst, 5th and 6th periods on Wed. Nov. 28th.

Kathleen McVey Memorial Youth Citizenship Award
This is an award of merit offered by Soroptimist International of Eel River Valley. Both female and male seniors may apply. One award of $1,000 will be given to a deserving senior based on four major criteria: Service, Dependability, Leadership, and Clear Sense of Purpose. The deadline is January 11, 2013, and applications may be obtained from the counseling office.
