CR Placement Test Reminder

Seniors: If you signed up to go to the CR placement tests on April 4, be sure to return your signed permission slip to Mrs. Austin or Mrs. Byrd by Friday, March 27.

CR Placement Testing

Attn CR Bound Seniors:
If you have already completed your online application, the next step is to take the CR math and english placement tests. To sign up for them you'll need to call CR and make an appointment to test.

Testing will be at the CR campus during the week, so you will need to miss school. Please let Tammy Young in attendance know that you'll be missing for the CR placement tests so she can mark it as a "school activity". This way it won't count against your attendance.
You will need to provide your own transportation to and from the test and also you'll need to bring your CR ID number and a photo ID.

If you don't have transportation to the tests, we will be providing transportation to test on Friday, April 4. There is room on the bus for 30 students, so if you'd like to go up with us on the bus, sign up in the office and return the permission slip by March 27. Any questions, see Mrs. Austin

Northcoast Access Scholarship

Attn Seniors: The Northcoast Access Scholarship is looking for applicants!
Criteria: Either low income or first generation who plan to attend a 4 yr or 2 yr college or trade school. GPA must be 2.5 or higher. This is a really time-consuming application, but is very worthwhile if you are lucky enough to win one. The deadline is coming soon, so don't wait until the last minute. Plan to start this one as early as possible.
Award amounts:
4 Yr. College: $3,000 per year, renewable for 4 years
2 Yr. College/Trade school: $1,500 per year, renewable for two years

Attn Seniors: The March Senior/Scholarship is now posted. Check it out for all the latest news. Lots of important stuff happening for college bound students, so be sure to read all of it and pay attention to all deadlines. To access the update, you can either check it out in your senior English and History classes, the library, the counseling bulletin board or online on the blog.
