College Rep from University of Maine, Fort Kent

Attn All Students: A college rep from the University of Maine, Fort Kent, will be on campus on Monday, Dec. 8 during 5th period. In case you've never heard of it, the University of Maine is a small college located at the very north end of Maine. In fact, it is so close to the Canadian Border that a lot of the locals speak French! They have nice programs in business, accounting, health-related majors, outdoor and environmental majors and sports management. They are well known for soccer and basketball and the school has been rated highly by the Princeton Review.Since the school is small, athletes have a great chance to play. Another really great thing about this school is the low out-of-state tuition - $9000, but if you are a good student, you can receive a scholarship worth $5000 towards your tuition. The cost of living is cheaper in Maine, so this school might be a really great bargain if you are looking for adventure and don't mind moving far away from Humboldt County. It snows a lot there, so skiing is a popular activity. Interested? If so, sign up in the office and be sure to check it out.
