March Senior/Scholarship Update Now Posted

Attn Seniors: The March Senior/Scholarship update is now posted.
March is the peak of scholarship season. After this month, you will notice
a big drop in the number of scholarships available, so now is the time to get
your letters of recommendation and submit those local scholarships.
The deadline of the Humboldt Area Foundation scholarships is March 16th
and the deadline for the North Coast College Access scholarships is March 15th.
Yes they are lots of work, but just imagine how great you will feel if you happen
to win one! On March 7th, CR will be on campus for placement testing.
Also this month many CSUs will be hosting preview days and/or encouraging housing
applications. CSUs will also want you to sign up for their placement tests,
the ELM and EPT if needed. UCs and CSUs will notify of acceptance this month.

CR Placement Testing for FUHS Seniors

Attn CR-Bound Seniors: On Monday morning, March 7, we will have CR placement testing for all seniors who submitted a CR application in the B Labs. You will be receiving information on what time to show up for testing that day so be on the lookout. If you would like to do some practice testing, go to CR's Academic Support Center website:
 http://www.redwoods.edu/eureka/asc/assessmenttesting.asp

From this website you can click on links to practice for both English and math tests.
It is really important to do well on these tests because they determine what class you will start at in college. Any questions, see Mrs. Austin
