Senior Awards Night - June 4

Seniors: Senior Awards Night will be happening on Wednesday, June 4, from 7 - 9 p.m. in the Mary Hanley Theatre. This is the night we celebrate all of the awards and scholarships that have been won by your class. If you receive a yellow postcard in the mail inviting you to awards night, it means that you have won something and please plan to attend. If for some reason you can't attend, let Mrs. Austin know beforehand. Awards may or may not be monetary in nature. There will be lots of surprise scholarships announced at awards night, so it will be exciting and lots of fun. Plan to bring your family.

Important Deadlines Coming Up!

Seniors: Here are some really important dates!
April 28 - Fortuna Garden Club Scholarship Due
April 30 - FUHSTA, American Business Women's, Mary Frazer Scholarships Due
May lst - Must notify all CSUs and UCs by this date if you plan to accept their offer of admission. You will need to submit your "Statement of Intent to Register" online.
Don't forget to also accept your financial aid award ASAP to reserve the award money for you.

College of the Redwoods - Be Sure to Complete All Steps to Register

Attn: CR Bound Seniors:
If you haven't registered yet for classes, make sure that you complete the process as soon as possible. The sooner you do it, the better. If you wait too long, classes will be filled up.

If you haven't taken the placement tests yet, call them as soon as possible to schedule your test - 476-4106.

If you've already taken the placement tests, be sure to finish the orientation, which also happens to include online lass registration. Call to schedule orientation at 476-4150.

If you are signed up to attend orientation on April 29th, be sure to return your permission slip to Mrs. Byrd or Mrs. Austin as soon as possible.

CR hasn't yet completed processing all the financial information from your FAFSAs and you may be billed for the classes once you register for them. Do not pay for your classes unless you are absolutely positive that you don't qualify for a BOG waiver, which will waive all of your fees except for $38. Most of you are eligible for the BOG waiver. If you aren't sure, see Mrs. Austin or call CR financial aid.
