PSAT Registration Now Happening

PSAT Registration:
Attention, college prep juniors and sophomores: It is time to register for the PSAT. All college prep juniors who plan to apply to 4-year colleges should plan to take the PSAT test on Wednesday, October 17.  The PSAT is a test that measures critical reading, verbal and math skills and writing skills.  It is the precursor to the SAT test, which is a test used in college admissions.  Normally the PSAT is offered to college prep Juniors, however, there will be room for some college prep sophomores (usually around 30 spaces).  Although the test is not designed for sophomores, it may be a good idea for students to take the test to help them get used to the test format.
Where & When? The test will be given here on campus in the cafeteria on Wednesday morning, Oct. 17 during 1st – 4th periods.  It takes about 3 ½ hours.
Cost?
The test will cost $14.00. If you are a Junior on the free lunch program, you’ll be eligible for a fee waiver.See Mrs. Austin for a fee waiver.
How to sign up?
Students will sign up by bringing their money ($14.00) to the SFO before Friday, October 12th.  They will then get a receipt from the SFO.  They will take their receipt to the counseling secretary, Robin Eckerfield, who will reserve them a spot for the test and give them a registration booklet.
