The local Soroptimist Club is awarding $1,000 to a deserving female student, who is an outstanding community volunteer The Violet Richardson Award Program will be honoring a student who is involved in volunteer efforts such as fighting drugs, crime and violence, cleaning up the environment, working to end discrimination anf poverty and any other actions that benefit women.
